These lovely polished pieces have both Malachite + Chrysocolla. The structure of the mineral Chrysocolla has been questioned, as spectrographic studies suggest material identified as chrysocolla may be a mixture of the copper hydroxide spertiniite and chalcedony. It is a pseudomorph, meaning a mineral chemically replaces another mineral without changing the external form of the original mineral. Its name has greek origins, translating to "gold glue" referring to its use of soldering gold. Energetically Chrysocolla is thought to provide a grounding yet stimulating energy to the chakras base, sacral, solar, heart and throat. When it is druzy there is an element of quartz involved, thought to help provide clarity and accelerate its properties. Malachite is a carbonate mineral of copper, which as you probably know is great at conducting energy. Malachite has been used by ancient cultures as a very transformative stone including the Ancient Egyptians, who used the power of malachite to effect great change within their physical bodies, believing it helped to heal at the cellular level.
