Smokey Quartz is said to be one of the most grounding & clearing stones available, both purifying & protecting. It is associated with the Root chakra (energy center). I like to think of it as a nervous system reset.  It's thought to be great for anxiety & calming nerves.

These gorgeous little stones are from Brazil were they were polished into this pocket size shape. 

A is the lightest, D is the darkest, in order from Left to Right in the last photo.
