My husband has been asking me to make a strawberry chocolate chip cookie for more than a year and I always thought it sounded odd. Boy was I wrong! These are delicious, sweet, salty, tangy - everything you want in a dessert!

INGREDIENTS

Flour: 1½ cups

Salt: ½ teaspoon

Baking soda: ½ teaspoon

Butter: ½ cup (room temp)

Sugar: 1 cup

Eggs: 1 large egg
-
Vanilla: ½ teaspoon
- Chocolate chips: ½ cup
- Freeze-dried strawberries: ¾ – 1 cup

INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- Combine flour, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl and set aside.
- In the bowl or use a stand-mixer for ease, combine butter & sugar.
- Beat at medium speed until creamy - a couple of minutes.
- Add in egg & vanilla mix until creamy and incorporated.
- Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Add chocolate chips and strawberries pieces and mix until well blended.
- Use a cookie scoop to portion dough into 1 1/2″ balls or hearts and place on baking sheet
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, until set on edges and slightly soft in centers.
- Remove and let cool on baking sheet for 2-3 minutes and then transfer to cooling rack.
