Apophyllite + Chalcedony + Microcrystilline Quartz

Not only does it have a beautiful blue chalcedony mix, but it also has apophyllite points all on top throughout. Apophyllite may look a lot like clear quartz, but it differs dramatically. It is a softer stone with a hardness of 5 on Mohs hardness scale. It is thought to be a premier stone for meditation as, energetically, it is believed to help one connect to angelic realms & help one to activate their inner vision or psychic abilities.  One of my favorite things I have read about this mineral - "it helps one to realize that perfection is a natural state of being."

Chalcedony is a cryptocrystalline form of silica, very similar to quartz it also has the make up of Silicon Dioxide - however its structure is different as it is composed of very fine intergrowths of quartz and recently discovered moganite. So it is a mix of trigonal crystal structure of quart, while moganite is monoclinic. 

Energetically, Chalcedony is thought to soften the energetic body in times of high stress, restoring a state of balance & calmness. When it is blue in color it is said to connect to the throat and third eye, helping to facilitate communication both orally and telepathically. Also known as the stone of brother hood as it is said to bring harmony to relationships with others, sealing up energetic leaks & imbalances.

This piece is directly from the earth in India. It weighs 1lb 4oz and measures about ~5x3x2.5 inches. It can stand up end to be displayed and has a flat side to lay flat as well. 

**Although Chalcedony / Quartz are harder minerals - apophyllite is soft - be careful around water, keep safe and dry!
