Osage Silk Scarf
Osage Silk Scarf
Osage Orange is a small deciduous tree or large shrub, native to the south-central United States. It's bark produces very vibrant golden yellow tones because of morin, a flavonoid compound. It's dye was actually used to dye the khaki colored uniforms of the first world war.
The details and care: The 100% silk known as flat crepe, a light weight silk with a beautiful subtle sheen, measuring 22" x 22". It was pretreated carefully to make sure it is colorfast in cold water, you can hand wash with a pH neutral soap or use your machine separately on the most gentle cycle if necessary. It can also be steamed or ironed on the lowest setting, or a silk setting if your iron has that option.
This scarf has a gorgeous yellow golden color.
Actual color may vary from the images and video shown. I tried my best to capture but every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colors!
