Gua Sha 

(Gua meaning to scrape or to rub & Sha meaning to create a redness in the skin) is an ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine massage technique using a tool to improve circulation, relieve tension in the facial muscles, encourage lymphatic drainage, decrease puffiness and promote collagen. While the results are said to be temporary, using on a ritual basis can help promote all of these wonderful benefits every day.

There are many different techniques, but we suggest pulling up and away from the center of your face, starting on the top right working down, and moving to the top left moving down, using a light pressure. Keep as much of the stone in contact with your skin. 

Rose Quartz is a form of quartz, silicon dioxide, with natural color attributed to microscopic inclusions of a pink variety of the mineral dumortierite, abundant enough to make the rose quartz translucent instead of transparent. Many call it the stone of eternal & unconditional love. It is said to help remove negative energies in the body in order to reinstate the energy of love & self-love. 

These Gua Sha tools are made from high grade Rose Quartz ethically mined from the earth in Madagascar, and polished and shaped by a lapidary in China. They are the perfect size for holding in your hand for Gua Sha, measuring about 3 x 2 inches and 1/8 inch thick. They come with a small pink bag for storage & safe keeping when traveling.
