Skeletal Amethyst Point

Amethyst is a member of the quartz family and is known to be a balancing & clearing stone. It is said that it can help facilitate the transmission of lower frequency into higher energies & opens up the Third Eye & Crown chakras - perfect for meditation. Emotionally, it is thought to help one find the root of their causes behind certain thought patterns or behaviors such as addictions. Throughout history it has been used to promote sobriety. When it comes to sleep, it is said to be helpful for insomnia & recalling dreams, & is thought to be more powerful if one sleeps in an Amethyst triangle setup. Very frequently, this stone calls to people who are just beginning their work with crystals, but is one that even the most experienced crystal healers hold onto.

This is what is known as a Skeletal Amethyst - meaning that it develop under conditions of rapid growth and high degrees of supersaturation so that atoms or ions were added more rapidly to edges and corners of growing crystals, resulting in branched 'dendrites' or hollow stepped depressions, 'hoppers'. AKA the super cool shapes and groves you see in this crystal. It is purple at the top and more white at the base, which was polished for displaying upright but I also love the look of displaying it on its side. It weighs 9.7oz and measures about 3 x 2.25 x 2 inches.
